Description

The Hokuriku (北陸) limited express began running for Japanese National Railways in 1950 as a Tokyo-Kanazawa-Osaka overnight train, but was reduced over the years to Tokyo-Fukui and eventually Tokyo-Kanazawa, the same route as the Noto Express.  Like most "Blue Trains" in Japan, it is defunct, having been abolished by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East) in 2010.  This Hokuriku headboard worn by either a Class EF64 or Class EF81 electric locomotive is displayed at the Railway Museum (鉄道博物館 a.k.a. Teppaku) in Saitama.
