Imperial War Museum Red Army T-34/85 Tank

When people remember of the Soviet Union's victory over Nazi Germany on May 9, 1945, one of the most famous images of the Great Patriotic War is the Red Army's T-34 tank, which helped the Soviets repel the Axis invasion and then launch their own counterattack through Eastern Europe.  Many of these powerful, durable tanks survived the war, some fighting well into the Cold War and some going on public display as historical artifacts.  This T-34/85 tank ended up rather far from its native Russia at the Imperial War Museum in London, England.
