USS Ronald Reagan CVN-76 Model

Description

USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76) is the first U.S. Navy ship named after a living president.  The aircraft carrier was built by Northrop Grumman at the shipyard in Newport News, Virginia, and was commissioned in July 2003.  At almost 1100 feet long with a displacement of over 101,000 tons, "The Gipper" is one of the world's most powerful warships.  It is based out of San Diego, California, which is quite appropriate for a ship named for a Hollywood actor turned politician.  This large scale model of CVN-76 is on display at the Virginia Aerospace Science Center in Hampton.  I have a family connection to this ship, as my father is an engineer for Northrop Grumman and was involved in the design and construction of USS Ronald Reagan.  I still have the baseball cap he got at the commissioning ceremony.

Hi, I want to face an indie video game project. It's just an idea at the moment, but I want it to be a stealth and infiltration game on an aircraft carrier. It would be inspired by the Metal Gear style. Due to my resource constraints I guess it would be more like the first classic Metal Gear from MSX with pixelart instead of a Metal Gear Solid V with CGI and 3D models.

I'm looking for detailed plans/maps of some Nimitz class aircraft carrier.

I want plans/maps of each level, each cover, each room (It would also be desirable at least some simplified scheme of each equipment). These plans/maps should have the dimensions and sizes properly expressed.

All I find on the internet are plans to reproduce the external shell, only for outdoor models. I have also found some very expensive 3d model, totally inaccessible for my budget. Anyway it is not clear how reliable they are.

I am aware that some details must be secret because it is a military ship. But I am sure that a lot of information must be known by even tourists who visit some of these ships, or by ships manufacturers in general. I don't pretend to have enough information to build or sink an aircraft carrier, just enough to create compelling illustrations that don't seem absurd or naif in the eyes of an expert. It is not that I am looking for ship design plans, but at least a schematic and simplified version that allows me to model or draw every room and space on the ship.

Can someone please tell me where I can find that kind of information? I have been trying all kinds of internet search for many days but that type of information seems incredibly limited. I only want information on the adequate distribution of spaces and a very general idea of what they contain inside.

Thank you
