Soviet Pollumajanduskombinaat Kohupiimakreem by rlkitterman Soviet Pollumajanduskombinaat Kohupiimakreem by rlkitterman
The Soviet Union supplied its cosmonauts with space versions of many traditional Russian and Soviet foods.  One of these was kohupiimakreem, a creamy yogurt-like version of the Estonian equivalent of tvorog (Russian farmer's cottage cheese).  This tube of kohupiimakreem was made by the Estonian Soviet Socialist Republic's Põllumajanduskombinaat of Põltsamaa, Estonia for the Soviet manned space programme.  The
Põllumajanduskombinaat Kohupiimakreem is now displayed in America at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Virginia.
