Southern Railway Bucyrus 150-Ton Crane

This Southern Railway 150-ton crane was built by Bucyrus in 1919 and designated D-66 (Derrick 66).  D-66 was assigned to Maintenance of Way (MOW) trains, occasionally acting as a breakdown crane.  It was later converted to diesel power and renumbered 903006, with its match wagon renumbered 910016.  After its retirement from the Norfolk Southern Railway, the crane was donated to the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer.
