Description
Duncan, is that you? The smallest locomotive at SCMAGLEV and Railway Park in Nagoya is Ke-90. This 0-4-0 tank engine was built by Dai-Nippon Kido in 1918 for the private 762mm narrow-gauge railway from Shin-Tajimi to Hiromi. Ke-90 was retired in 1928 after the railway was nationalized and upgraded to 1067mm (3'6"). The 6-ton locomotive has been partially sectioned to show its inner workings, and is on display outside the museum as it does not fit with the majority of the collection.
