Platform 9 and 3/4 Sign

Description

For today's generation, Platform 9 and 3/4 is the most famous part of London King's Cross Station, as it is where Harry Potter and his fellow wizards board the Hogwarts Express. Thanks to this pop-cultural fame, there is now a sign at King's Cross that says "Platform 9 and 3/4," though a recent renovation of the station relocated it to a wall by the contractor's office. And JK Rowling should have researched King's Cross before writing her stories, as Platforms 9 and 10 are commuter platforms separated by parallel tracks, while the long-distance trains (such as the Flying Scotsman) leave from low-numbered platforms such as Platform 1. My friends would not stop asking me if I had seen Platform 9 and 3/4 on my trip to England. Really, you'd think there is more to Britain's railway scene than a fictional platform from a fantasy book....
