Philippe the Original

Philippe the Original is a restaurant with two claims to fame: it is the oldest continuously operating restaurant in Los Angeles (established 1908), and it is the home of the French dip sandwich.  This was the first place I ever had lunch in Los Angeles, so it felt right to have my last lunch in LA there too.  Two college friends and I really enjoyed the French dip sandwich and coleslaw, and then we checked out the small model-train exhibit in the back.
