Oigawa Ex-Nankai Electric Railcar 21003

Description

The Oigawa Railway uses old electric multiple unit (EMU) trains for local passenger services.  Some of them, such as railcar 21003 seen at Shin-Kanaya station, started out as commuter trains on the Nankai Electric Railway, which operates in Kansai (Osaka area).  Built in 1958, this railcar still runs fairly well, as the Oigawa Railway takes good care of both steam and electric power.

The original Nankai livery is nice.
I have a feeling that this train's days are numbered - its counterpart in the Ichibata railway in Shimane already has a replacement...
Also, is it me, or does the Oigawa Railway's electric trains look very dirty compared to other Japanese railway lines? This photo is quite 'clean' compared to other photos of the 21000.
Do you know anything of the other various railcars dumped/stored in sidings around the railway?
