Description

A Nozomi (Hope) Shinkansen bullet train rides into the sunset, passing through Shizuoka station on its journey west from Tokyo to Nagoya and Osaka.  It must have been doing about 300 kilometers/hour (180+ miles/hour) here, three times faster than the trains on the JR Tokaido main line, and sounded like a low-flying jet airplane.
