NWR 1896 General Office Building

In 1896, the Norfolk and Western Railway headquarters moved to the General Office Building on Jefferson Street, Roanoke, Virginia.  This Neoclassical Revival-style building was supplemented by another one across the street in 1931, which is hidden behind the old one.  Today, it is an apartment complex, which I imagine would be a good place for a railfan to live, as you could see a lot of trains from the top floor.
