Description
Despite its name, the neighborhood of Kabukicho in east Shinjuku, Tokyo never got a kabuki theater. It contains practically every other form of entertainment from restaurants to host/hostess clubs and beyond, and has a reputation as a red-light district, though the lights blaze with every color at night. It is a good place to run into foreigners, either as tourists (such as myself) or as promoters (to draw in the aforementioned tourists to bars, clubs, etc). I must admit feeling rather uncomfortable there.
