JRF EF210.114 Intermodal Approaching Shizuoka

Description

While riding out to Abekawa Station for my last day teaching children's classes at the cram school near there, I looked through the front window of my commuter train and saw JR Freight (JRF) electric locomotive EF210.114 approaching Shizuoka Station with an eastbound intermodal train.  Following standard JRF practice, the locomotive had both pantographs raised.  Compared to what I will see again back home in Virginia, the intermodal trains here are rather short, and the containers are always single-stacked, as double stacks would exceed the Japanese loading gauge.

Definitely not the giant double-stack trains we have in the US. Part of the reason that they probably don't double stack is because it would hit the catenaries, and, as you said in the description, would exceed loading limit.
