Grosvenor House Model

De Havilland DH.88 Comet twin-engine racing plane G-ACSS Grosvenor House was built in 1934 and set five aviation records, starting with a time of 70:55 on the MacRobertson air race from England to Australia.  It also set records on flights to South Africa and New Zealand.  A model of Grosvenor House as it appeared during the MacRobertson race, with the red livery it still wears today, is on display at the London Science Museum.
