Description
The De Havilland Canada DHC-4 Caribou was a two-motor transport introduced in 1958. As it could operate on 1200-foot runways while carrying four tons of cargo, it caught the eye of the U.S. military. It was designated the C-7 Caribou and extensively used in the Vietnam War. A surviving C-7A is on display at the National Museum of the United States Air Force (Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, Ohio).
