Description

Although better known for its World War II airplanes, the Planes of Fame Museum has a lot of Cold War jets.  Here are four fighters parked outside, two Soviet and two American: a MiG-17 Fresco, a MiG-15 Fagot, a North American QF-86 Sabre-derived target drone, and a North American F-100 Super Sabre.

Interesting trivia: The original NATO reporting name for the MiG-15 was 'Falcon' but that was changed after NATO's high-ups complained that the name was 'too complimentary'. Politics can find its way into the strangest places...
