C+O 614 Cab

The cab of Chesapeake and Ohio Railway (C&O) 4-8-4 steam locomotive No. 614, like the locomotive itself, has been modified ever since the locomotive came out of the Lima Locomotive Works in 1948.  Stepping into the cab at the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway Heritage Center (Clifton Forge, Virginia), what stood out to me was the multiple unit control next to the driver's seat on the right-hand side of the cab.  This device was installed during its time pulling SL excursion trains in the 1980s and 1990s, and if No. 614 is ever returned to steam, the multiple unit controls would come into use again.
