At Shin-Kanaya Looking North

Here is the view north from Shin-Kanaya depot, featuring the coal pile, Prairie (2-6-2) tank engine C12.164 on the turntable, and electric locomotive E101 with a passenger train.  Apart from the modern tour buses in the station parking lot, this could be the 1950s.  Note the mountains in the background; those are the Southern Alps, the northern end of the Oigawa Railway.
